Research and Education Focus

MSREC Mission: To provide comprehensive mass spectrometry support in an open learning environment. Our goal is to provide a valuable resource to complex research needs through access to a wide variety of mass spectrometry instruments, bioinformatic tools, and highly trained staff. We offer both routine services and advanced research based projects. Services include accurate mass analysis, proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, polymer analysis, GC-MS, and training.

Education and Training

1994–1999: PhD. Chemistry, Louisiana State University (lab of Patrick Limbach)

1990–1994: B.A. Chemistry Major, Biology and Norwegian Minor, Concordia College, Moorhead MN

Selected Awards

Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society Young Investigator Award (2007)

LSU Superior Performance and Productivity in Chemical Research (1999)

Selected Activities

Chair for Florida Local Section of the American Chemical Society Mentorship Committee for Females in Mass Spectrometry NIH/NSF Review Panelist
