University of Florida Chemathon is an annual competition connecting high school students and teachers from across the sunshine state with each other and the Department of Chemistry.
During the one-day event, visitors experience the wonders of chemistry through a cornucopia of activities. Step into our state-of-the-art teaching lab to conduct an experiment. Test your knowledge by competing in both individual written exams and team quiz bowls. Learn about life from current undergraduate students through our interactive panel. Experience a thrilling live chemistry demonstration show. Each year, the event is a highlight for the department’s volunteers comprising faculty, staff, and students. We hope you join us!
