A ONE DAY PROGRAM FOR FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
The event’s program is split into two schedules, one for the Level I teams and one for the Level II teams. The same activities will be experienced by both, but at different times of the day. The program will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This event will include a short written test, tours of research labs, a quiz bowl team event, a hands-on lab activity, and a chemistry show. Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams based on performance in these competitive events. Morning refreshments and pizza lunch will be provided.
Level I Schedule

- Registration and refreshments in Scott Family Hall (SFH) atrium (1st floor)
9:30 – 10:15 AM
- Competitive written test in Flint Hall (FLI) 50
- Concurrent teacher “buzz session” in SFH 221
10:25 – 11:00 AM
- Hands-on laboratory activity in SFH (1st floor)
11:10 AM – 12:10 PM
- Lunch in SFH atrium (1st floor)
12:10 – 12:20 PM
- Meet up with lab tour guide in Chemistry Lab Building (CLB) 130 (large auditorium)
12:20 – 1:20 PM
- Tours of chemistry research labs
- 2 sessions at 30 minutes each
1:20 – 1:50 PM & 2:05 – 2:35 PM
- Chemathon “Quiz Bowls” in FLI 105 & FLI 111 and Leigh Hall (LEI) 104, 142, 207 & 242
