Teaching Focus
My primary teaching responsibilities include lower-division courses in organic chemistry, namely CHM2210 (Organic Chemistry) and CHM2211 (Organic Chemistry 2). These courses are generally large-enrollment courses (enrollment up to 300), with largely non-majors on the pre-medical track enrolled. My research interests focus on identifying factors that predict student success in organic chemistry, synthesizing novel heterocyclic organic chromophores and fluorophores for various applications, and pursuing specialized projects in organic structure elucidation.
